Tonight seems to be a good night! One, the weather is great and all things are good in the house. Two, I receive information and pictures from a source that I can hold factual.
In the pictures below I would like to introduce you to the Sprint Moment 2. This Samsung device is said to have similar specs to the original Moment. Samsung has added one goodie that we already knew was coming, and that is the introduction of Android 2.1. The other is that they have decided to add their updated flavor of TouchWiz, known as TouchWiz 3.0.
There is more un-known than there is known at this time. What is known for sure is;
-Android 2.1
-Touchwiz 3.0
-CDMA (Sprint)
-Full QWERTY
-This will not have the new Super AMOLED

Hey guys I have a question if anyone nice and intelligent wants to help me out. So I am planning on getting a Moment any day now but this makes me a little reluctant to buy it. From the looks of this (and other sources) there is nothing really worth waiting for except Android 2.1. But is the current Moment going to be upgraded or are they only going to release a new Moment with 2.1. Thanks a lot! Should I but one or not?
I called Sprint and Samsung both of who know nothing abt a moment 2. Who knows with all these rumors. The original has barely been out 6 months heck Ive only had it a month! I was told That as soon as the update is avail to 2.0 we will get it. Its supposed to happen for the Hero and the moment. I can see alot of pissed off customers if this doesnt happen. It is still a great phone if you are considering getting it now and can at a good price by the way. The screen is better then the Hero and the camera has a bright! Flash.
Just an FYI the original Moment will get a 2.x update. That is the rumor at least. The only devices that are not getting upgrades as of now is the G1/Dream and might MT3G/Magic.
The source I received the pics and information from is a very reliable source. Samsung or Sprint reps will not know of this until weeks before an announcement.
This device may not see day light until the Galaxy S hits the market… I will share when I know more.

I called Samsung and they said no Moment 2 planned for Sprint in the Us Who the heck knows I find this funny though how the original has barely been out 6 months! And we are still waiting on our Android updates to 2.0 which I was told when avail we will get????

i WAS excited about this.. until i saw the “TouchWiz 3.0” part.. the Moment 2 is shaping up to be a Behold 2 with a QWERTY.. wish Samsung would get the picture: Android SUCKS when you bog it down with TouchGay.. nobody likes TouchWiz anyway.. just kill it!!
I hope they make this phone a 4g phone..
